In May and June of 2002 I took a 7,767-mile photo jaunt from Vancouver, Washington, where I live, east to Ohio and Kentucky, and back. My photo subjects were President's Places, Geologic and Scenic Areas, National Parks and Monuments, Mormon Temples, State Capitols, Indian Mounds, and things I just happened to see; I also visited some friends and relatives.

I headed east on Interstates 84 and 80, mainly, and came back on Interstates 70 and 5, mainly, with side trips along the way.

I enjoyed almost every mile of it.
