Visit with Jess
Lexington, Kentucky

Pixel Autumn, by Jess Mark
I had a two-day visit with my slightly older brother, Jess, and his wife, Ruth, in Lexington, Kentucky. Both Jess and Ruth are very good cooks, so I had several excellent meals while I was there.

Jess is a painter; he has been associated with the arts community in Lexington for quite some time. Here is one of his recent paintings in the pointillism style, entitled "Pixel Autumn."

In addition to fine dining, Jess showed me his art work, which I also enjoyed a lot. And we drove around Lexington, looking at the horse farms and other things.

We had several interesting discussions on the subject of why we are the way we are; we mostly blame our parents, but our religious upbringing is also at fault, as are our ex-wives.

Jess did this next painting, of the Grand Tetons, a few years ago; it hangs in my office in Vancouver.

Grant Tetons

Please do not reproduce these paintings for any reason or in any way without the permission of the artist.

This is the midpoint of my journey; I am now headed home.
