Kansas State Capitol
Topeka, Kansas

Kansas State Captitol

Well, just let me say this about that. It was open on Sunday. That was good. And there was a nice young lady guard sitting in there. That was also good.

Kansas Capitol missing some of its tiles

But this capitol building is badly in need of maintenance. That's something I noticed at several of the capitols -- Nebraska and Iowa especially, and now Kansas. You can see here where tiles have fallen off the building and have not been replaced. There are other signs of neglect, also. This is inexcusable. If you've got a building, you have to maintain it. Not to is sheer stupidity.
