Toolesboro Mounds
Toolesboro, Iowa


Toolesboro Mounds


Toolesboro Mounds, Iowa, was interesting, but I had hoped for more information than was available, seeing as how the visitor center was closed, and it was raining pretty hard and I didn't want to walk the trails. It was cold, too.

Anyway, these mounds were burial mounds of the people who lived in the area around 200 to 300 A.D., as you might be able to see from the display shown below.
