Don's PhotoJaunt 2003 The Boston Massachusetts Temple

The Boston Temple is located just outside Boston, on the way to Concord and Lexington. It's in a nice area, sort of off to itself, or so it seemed to me. I had kind of a hard time finding it, had to ask directions a couple of times. I caught a sign out of the corner of my eye that had the word Temple on it, so I followed the arrow, but it was the wrong temple. Hindu or something. But eventually I found the right one, and was quite impressed.
I read somewhere that the church had a hard time getting permission to build this temple, from local government(s) and from neighbors. I don't see why. I would think it would be a welcome addition to any area, especially considering what could have been built there -- shopping mall, stadium, prison, amphitheater for rock concerts.

The grounds and surrounding area were especially beautiful this time of year -- October 2003 -- with the autumn leaves brightening up the hillsides.
